So, as some of you know, one of the principle features of Weasyl will be tag filtering, and allowing other people to tag submissions. In order for this to work, we also needed to code a search system that revolves entirely around tags, because even if you don’t care about what people don’t want to see, you still want your works to show up in search, right? Our search system is very simple to use; you need only enter the tags for content you wish to find. However, it also incorporates some extra, totally optional features that make it far more powerful. So read on, so you can learn how this tag system works!
i’m going to make a big serious statement right here, right now, because i have to say it.
i have noticed that the vast majority
and i mean REALLY FUCKING VAST majority
of people on this site who identify as ‘fictives’ also identify as many of them, or as part of a ‘system’ of ‘multiples’
they may or may not claim to have Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) or some variation of it, but i can tell you with great certainty that the vast majority of them DO NOT HAVE IT.
DID does not work the way these people think it does.
it isn’t FUN. It isn’t about ‘walk-ins’ or ‘headspace’ like you’re switching character in a roleplaying session or logging in and out of different characters on your fucking World of Warcraft account.
Genuine DID is considerably rare. That said: THERE ARE ACTUAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE THIS CONDITION. It most often arises as a result of extreme cases of physical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse, especially in childhood. It is triggered by instances of serious emotional distress.
Go back and read that last sentence again.
They cannot control when it happens.
IT IS NOT ABOUT KARKAT ANSWERING ONE QUESTION IN YOUR ASKBOX AND THEN ERIDAN POPPING IN TO ANSWER THE NEXT ONE.
You are treating a serious mental condition like a trendy, fun game.
You are hurting and mocking actual, living people by doing and saying these things.
